2004 User Group Meeting

The 2004 annual User Group meeting was held in Dallas Texas, on May 17 & 18, 2004.   

A special thank you to Ward Communications, and especially Debbie Cocanougher for sponsoring this years user group meeting and allowing us use of their offices. We also want to thank the clients that took the time and incurred the expense to be represented in this important activity. We hope to see more users represented at next years meeting.

Terry reviewed and introduced this year's enhancements. Additional enhancements and the upcoming release of version 8.0 were discussed in detail. Most enhancements that were requested at the meeting have already been completed and will be included in the version 8 release.

The 2005 meeting was also discussed and we received excellent feedback. More details about those plans will be included in future newsletters. We would also like to hear any suggestions from users that were not represented at the meeting on what will justify their attendance at next year’s meeting.

Release

Ad-Input is proud to deliver revision 8.0.  This release includes special highlighting features only available in FoxPro 8.0 and includes all the enhancements from the user's group.  The detail list of changes will be included with the install CD.

Release 8.0 has On-line Documentation included as online help.  Pressing the F1 button on any screen, calls the new help.  

A new enhancement we have started is Search buttons beside data entry fields.  You will see a sneak preview of the new search buttons on some of the applications, but we plan to incorporate this further in the next few months.

We want to hear from you

Users are the best source of information available on how to improve a product. Therefore, we are encouraging you to let us know which things in the system you feel need to be changed, or could use a bit of refinement. We will maintain a list of requested enhancements.  The benefits of some suggestions will be apparent and they will automatically be included in updates. If we are not sure about the suggested enhancement, we will poll our users. This is an important part of our plan to take care of you.  Please e-mail your suggestions to msims@adinput.com.
